YOUNGSTER Liam Scullion is hoping to develop himself further whilst on loan at Stenhousemuir with the hopes of one day making his ACCIES debut.
The 17-year-old was a big part of last season’s UEFA Youth League squad who knocked out Swiss giants FC Basel and progressed on to the second round in which Danish side FC Midtjylland put the young ACCIES out of the competition.
Scullion, played a number of games on trial before Stenhousemuir announced the loan-deal for him to play his football at Ochilview this season.
Speaking to the clubs media team, he said:
It’s great experience for me to go out on loan and play against teams like, St Mirren and Hearts so far. I played 90 minutes at Tynecastle last night in the Betfred Cup and it was difficult but It was a good feeling playing against a team of that standard in Hearts.
“For me it’s all about playing football on a Saturday afternoon and proving to George Cairns and the gaffer that hopefully one day I will be worthy of first-team football at Hamilton.”
Liam’s next game is on Saturday, 27th July against Cowdenbeath at Ochilview.
