u20s win again

4-0

Our Development League side had a convincing and comprehensive 1-0 win away to Hibernian on Wednesday afternoon, in a game played at Spartans’ Ainslie Park.

The result moved us back joint top of the table with Celtic, albeit they have games in hand.

There was good play and passing throughout in what was a more convincing win than 1-0 would suggest. Christian Nade netted the game’s only goal two minutes into the second half, nodding in a Mandiangu cross. We also hit wood work twice as well. Steven Boyd again showed up positively, back after a wee injury layoff, while Scott McMann, Danny Redmond, Eamonn Brophy and Ross Cunningham all battled away well.

Team – Martin, Reilly, McMann (c), Garcia Tena, Want, Hughes (Simpson 78 ), Mandiangu, Redmond, Nade, Boyd (Tierney 70), Brophy (Cunningham 45). unused subs Marshall, Quitongo, C Granger, Kelly. Referee Duncan Smith. Att: 77

Next week’s game sees us host Partick Thistle on Tuesday 26th January, 7pm kick off at NDP. Note change to normal kick off time.
