Round Up

On Tuesday 21st July Accies drew 2-2 with Maltese Premier side Sliema Wanderers at Silver Jubilee Stadium on Gozo Island. Headers from Lucas Tagliapietra and Craig Watson had us 2-0 up before two late goals, including an equaliser from Maltese international Michael Mifsud, saw the game tied at 2-2

Our u20s also had a closed door friendly on Tuesday, defeating Yoker Athletic 4-1 with goals from Danny Armstrong 2, Marc Kelly and a trialist.

On Saturday 25th July the first team squad travelled south to face a Sunderland XI at Hetton. The home side ran out 3-1 winners with our goal being a nicely taken low shot from Antons Kurakins midway through the second half.

Next up are two u20 friendlies this week – Monday 27th Accies v Rob Roy and Thursday 30th Accies v Clydebank. Both games are 7.30pm at NDP.

First home league game is Premiership v Partick Thistle next Saturday 1st August, 3pm at NDP, extended highlights on BBC Alba. Darian MacKinnon is suspended for this game, while we await clarification on an outstanding carry over suspension for Craig Watson as well.

The first u20s Development League game is likely to be Weds 5th August v Inverness CT, 3pm at NDP. Danny Armstrong is suspended for that one.
