Our u20s exited the Scottish FA Youth Cup this afternoon (30th November), going down 4-2 at home to Aberdeen (having beaten them 1-0 in the league on Tuesday).
Dons Mbayo was red carded for denying a clear or obvious goalscoring opportunity in the 25th minute and Ross Cunningham duly pinged the free kick straight in from just outside the D. Aberdeen equalised with a penalty from Bruce Anderson six minutes later before taking the lead in the 41st minute with a low curled effort from Frankie Ross.
Ross Cunningham levelled from the spot on the hour mark, for his 11th goal from our last 9 u20 games, before we then also went down to 10 men when Ronan Hughes went for a 2nd yellow in the 73rd minute. Dons took the lead from the free kick through Ryan Harrington. With three minutes remaining they made it 4-2 when Toby Wells fired home from close range after the proverbial stramash.
