Our development league squad defeated Aberdeen 3-2 in an entertaining game at NDP on Tuesday night, with all the games five goals having been scored by the 52nd minute.
Skipper Scott McMann opened the scoring sending the mitre past Robbie Mutch after the ball came in from the left in the 15th minute. The always lively Joe Nuttall equalised just three minutes later with a 20 yard drive after he was set up by the busy Wright. In the second hald it was seconds old when Ryan Tierney pounced on a stray pass to nip in and score to put us 2-1 up and then repeated the feat in the 51st minute when he again took advantage of a lose pass to run in on goal from 40 yards and carefully slot a nice shot beyond the Dons keeper. However a minute later David Goodwillie turned well inside he box to score Aberdeen’s second.
‘Keeper Alan Martin made several good saves to deny the Dons forwards, while Darian MacKinnon again leant his experience to the young team. A good display overall with two u16s and three u17s on the bench for us.
