Our u20s recorded a comfortable win over Kilmarnock in the Development League on Tuesday night at The SuperSeal.
We were two up after just seven minutes through Ronan Hughes and Ross Cunnngham, before young Hughes added his second and our third later in the second half.
Scott McMann created a 4th minute chance when his low cross across the face of goal was missed by Hughes and Breslin, but we went 1-0 up a minute later with a lovely finish from 18 yards by Ronan Hughes. Quickly we made it 2-0 in the 7th minute when Ross Cunningham directed a header into the bottom corner.
Paterson for Killie had a shot over the bar then Lewis ferguson had a deflected shot. McMann hooked wide early in the second half before Ronan Hughes made it 3-0 in the 72nd minute when he curled a nice shot in from the corner of the penalty area.
In the end a comfortable victory, and great to get Craig Watson and Darren Lyon back playing, especially in Watson’s case after 9 months out through a cruciate injury sustained when he was on loan at Arbroath. The Janny is back!
