The competition (the Challenge Cup) has been altered this season and as well as the 30 Championship, League 1, League 2 and Lowland and highland champions, it has now been expanded for this season. It is now all 30 Championship, Lge1 and Lge2 teams, plus 4 Highland League, 4 Lowland League, all 12 Premiership u20s sides, plus Linfield and Crusaders from Northern Ireland plus Bala Town and TNS (who now have Jon Routledge) from Wales. The first 3 rounds are regionalised, with games from round 3 onwards taking place on the international weekends.

On Wednesday 3rd August our u20s had a comfortable win over Lowland League side Cumbernauld Colts at Broadwood. On a wet night in North Lanarkshire both sides tested each other early on before Ross Cunningham finished well to put us ahead in the 17th minute. Steven Boyd doubled our lead 35 seconds into the second half and Ryan Tierney finished off a good move in the 84th minute to give us a good win.

There were many good performances in the team and a clean sheet for Alex Marshall.
