“Hamilton Academical FC Community Trust” will again be playing host at the forthcoming “Charity Football Festival” this Sunday 23rd August, 9am – 5pm at New Douglas Park.
Committed to supporting the local and wider community, this is FREE to all spectators, we will however be asking for a donation from Adults only, of non-perishable tins upon on entry to the stadium. Our officials will then arrange for these to be given to the Hamilton & District Food Bank which so many local families now solely depend upon to ensure they have a nourishing and healthy diet.
As a Club we are proud to be able to run various community events and fun days such as the Football Festival over the past few years, allowing many charitable causes to benefit, as well as offer many thousands of local children and families to visit our stadium and enjoy the “Accies” experience.
Over 600 children from Clubs across the Lanarkshire and Central belt of Scotland representing 2006, 2008 and 2009 age groups have now registered for the Festival and will descend on our new state of the art 4G pitch in aid of Hamilton and District Foodbank.
The Club would like to thank all Clubs participating, staff and volunteers who have helped bring about this great cause and in particular we would like to thank South Lanarkshire Council, Blantyre Soccer Academy and Holytown Colts for their continued support and look forward to another fun and action packed football extravaganza.
As always, there will be hot/cold drinks and a variety of food/snacks available on the day from our Big Red Bus and kiosks to purchase while you enjoy watching this most enjoyable event!
