20s defeat Falkirk


Our development league side returned to winning ways by beating Falkirk 2-0 at NDP on Wednesday evening.  The over agers getting much needed game time were Jamie Sendles-White, Christopher Mandiangu, Christian Nade and Danny Redmond, along with ‘keeper Alan Martin.  Danny Redmond netted the first in 32 minutes after great leg work by Marc Kelly with the assist, shooting past Bowman. Late in the second half Christopher Mandiangu netted, following up from a blocked shot from nade, and that made it 2-0 in the 81st. Both sides created a few other chances but there was no further scoring.

Accies – Martin, Reilly, Quitongo, Want (c), Sendles-White, Hughes, Cunningham, Mandiangu, Nade (Smith 84), Redmond (S Connelly 87), Kelly (Simpson 62). Unused subs -Gutsul, O’Halloran, Marshall. Referee – Grant Irvine. Att: 165

The result kept us 2nd in the league, 3 points behind Celtic who also have 3 games in hand.

The next league game is against Hibernian, next Wednesday, 20th January, 2pm kick off at Ainslie Park, Edinburgh (Spartans FC).
