We are delighted to announce George Stanger has been called up again for New Zealand, this time with the u23s!
Stanger, who was a big part of the Kiwi’s u20s FIFA World Cup campaign has now been selected to make the step up to the U23s squad.
Des Buckingham’s side faces Australia in two friendlies on the 6th & 9th of September and after a successful run with the u20s, he has offered Stanger the chance to prove himself at the next level.
Academy Director, George Cairns says: “I’m delighted that George has been called up again to represent New Zealand. I watched him during the u20s World Cup and he played very well, he’s come back from that and kept working hard and the rewards are paying off for him.”
