Hamilton Academical Football Club are delighted to announce that Tony Gallacher has agreed a contract extension that will see him remain at the club until the end of the 2026/27 season.
The 26-year-old defender joined the club in the summer of 2024 and has since made 46 appearances across all competitions. The defenders first Hamilton goals couldn’t have came at a better time as he scored a double in our play-off final win over Clyde to retain our League One status.
On signing his new deal, Tony said: “I’m really happy to extend my stay here, I had a good chat with the gaffer about how he wants his team to play and how I fit into that.
“We’ve got a really good dressing room, we all know how hard it’s been the last few years but we’re all really keen to kick on now and hopefully build on our positive end to the season.”
Darian MacKinnon said: “I’m really pleased to get Tony signed on for another year. He’s an experienced defender, he works hard every day and he’s done really well especially in the latter part of the season.”
