Josh Lane signs contract extension.

Hamilton Academical Football Club are delighted to announce that Josh Lane has agreed a contract extension that will see him remain at the club until the end of the 2026/27 season.

The 19-year-old goalkeeper spent the first half of the season on loan to League Two side Stranraer before returning from loan in Janaury, where he went on to make 20 appearances for the first team and keeping 6 clean sheets.

On signing his new deal, Josh said: “I’m really happy to sign on for another year and keep representing the club. I’ve been here for a long time and really enjoyed the challenge of the first team for the second half of last season.

“We ended the season really well, the scenes at full time and the celebrations afterward were great for us as a club and a group.”

Darian MacKinnon said: “I’m glad to get Josh signed on for another year. He’s a talented young keeper who did really well when he came into the team in difficult circumstances. For him it’s now about kicking on and to keep that hard work up to improve again next season.”
