Hamilton Academical Football Club are delighted to announce that Stuart McKinstry has agreed a contract extension that will see him remain at the club until the end of the 2027/28 season.
The 23-year-old attacker joined the club in the January of 2024 and has since made 72 appearances across all competitions. His first Accies goal came in a 3-2 derby win over Airdrieonians at New Douglas Park.
On signing his new deal, Stuart said: “I’m really excited to extend my contract with the club. We know it’s been tough the last few years but we ended the season positively and we’re all looking to build on that again next season.
“For me personally I had a good chat with the manager on what he expects from me, and how I fit into his team next season so I’m looking forward to getting going again.”
Darian MacKinnon said: “I’m really pleased to have Stuart sign on for another two years. There is no doubting his quality and he’s done really well for me since I took over at the turn of the year. I’ve made it clear what I expect from all the players next season, and Stuart bought into that and is ready to go.”
