I am delighted to announce the appointment of two additional Directors to the Board to lead us on two new Club initiatives.
Both Seref Zengin and John Brown have been highly supportive of the Club in recent years and I have no doubts they will both make a major contribution to our progress.
Seref will be our Director of the Pre-Academy primarily responsible for young players aged 6 – 10 years of age.
John will be our Director of Community Involvement. His role has many aspects covering provision of facilities, raising of funds and creating a pathway into the Club whether for members of the community, supporters or the participation of sportsmen or women.
Over recent years, the workload on the existing Directors has steadily increased and new Directors of their standing are greatly welcomed.
We will be making a full statement on the Cyber-Fraud perpetrated on the Club in the next few weeks.
This event and the input it will require going forward, plus the work required to comply with Project Brave has, and will be, very time consuming.
In addition, Les Gray has become a SPFL Board Member at a time when his own business workload is increasing.
To ensure we can cope with these matters (and others) we have re-organised the board. I will return as Chairman with Les reverting to Vice Chairman (a reverse of our actions of 4 years ago).
Colin McGowan, Allan Maitland, Danny Doherty and David MacDonald will remain in their present roles.
I’d like to take this opportunity to thank them all for their entirely voluntary efforts (even to the extent of not reclaiming expenses incurred for the Club’s benefit).
Going forward, I believe all members of the Board are talented, enthusiastic and committed to making the Club all it can be.
Special thanks to those who travelled to Edinburgh last Saturday, your support is greatly appreciated by the players and staff.
