Darian MacKinnon appointed First-Team Coach

We are delighted to announce that club legend Darian MacKinnon has returned as First-Team Coach.

MacKinnon will join Head Coach John Rankin and Goalkeeping Coach Brian Potter in the dugout for today’s match.

As a player MacKinnon captained the side and also played a part in our 2014 play-off victory against Hibs to seal our return to the top-flight.

As a coach ‘Dazzler’ also worked as part of our academy set up alongside George Cairns and Dougie Imrie with our U16s side at the time. As part of this role, he worked closely with the likes of Adam McGowan and Chrissy McGinn.

Speaking on the appointment, John Rankin said: “Darian is a fantastic addition to the staff we have here at the football club. We have been working hard to make sure we bring in the right person to benefit the environment we have, and I think Darian does just that.

“We all know how important he was as a player here and the supporters recognised that during his time here. As a coach I think he has a lot of qualities which can help develop the players and I can’t wait to work with him.”
