The club are delighted to confirm the permanent signing of former Coventry midfielder Jonny Ngandu following a successful trial period.
The midfielder captained the Coventry U23 side to play-off final victory in the Professional Development League 2 in May of this year and signed his Accies contract earlier today.
The 20-year-old becomes John Rankin’s first signing and was pleased to be joining the club.
He said: “I am delighted to be joining this club. As soon as I got here, I just knew it was the right club. The lads have been brilliant with me, and I am really looking forward to getting the season started.
“I am a midfielder who likes to get the fans going. I want to play my part this season and chip in with a few goals and assists.”
Head Coach John Rankin said: “I am really pleased to welcome Jonny to the football club. Obviously, he had been in and around the place on trial and I was impressed by the quality and work ethic he showed. I think his character is one which will fit in well with our dressing room.
“I spoke about adding players who can excite the fans and I think Jonny is one who can do that with his quality. I would like to take the time to thank Allan and the rest of the board for their hard work in adding him to our squad.”
Ngandu could be set to make his first official appearance for Accies in today’s friendly against Tranent.
