Match Preview: Dunfermline (H)

We welcome Dunfermline to New Douglas Park for Saturday’s cinch Championship match. Kick-off 3:00PM.

Head Coach Stuart Taylor has revealed while continuing their recovery Marley Redfern and Miko Virtanen are doubts for the match.

He said: “Miko had an injection on Tuesday and we’ll see how he reacts to that. Adam McGowan came back in to training and he looks great but Marley is still feeling his hamstring so he is a doubt.”

So far this season there has been very little to split the two sides with both sides earning a narrow 1-0 victory over the course of the season and a 0-0 draw at the beginning of the season. However, the sides will be doing all they can to finish this season’s match up on top.

It was a disappointing 2-0 defeat last time out against Kilmarnock. However, Stuart Taylor backed his side to bounce back.

He said: “We have analysed the previous week as staff, we want to learn about any points we can improve on and we have taken the lessons from it.

“We can’t write it off as a bad day at the office but after we analyse everything there isn’t much else to it. I think there is a real determination from the lads to put that right in front of our supporters on Saturday.”

Speaking ahead of the match Stuart Taylor said: “We are looking for a reaction going in to the game. We are representing the football club and the area so we want to go out and put on a good performance.

“Our approach to every game is the same we want to get the win to move closer to the teams above us and that is always what we look to do.”
