New signing Kai Kennedy has revealed he is enjoying his football after signing for Stuart Taylor’s side earlier in the window. The winger insisted Hamilton Accies is the right place for him to develop as a player.
The 19-year-old joined the club with Championship experience under his belt but is aiming to improve his game during his time at the club
He said: “I want to kick on here at Hamilton, and I have been working hard every day here to add goals and assists to my game, so if I can do that, everything will take care of itself.
“As a winger, I want to add goals and assists to my game. There are parts of my game which I have confidence in, but I am always looking to develop and I think if I can add the goals and assists to my game, that allows me to do that.”
As the winger sought first-team involvement, Kennedy revealed his experiences of playing Accies were pivotal in his decision to join the club.
He said: “When I played Hamilton earlier in the season, I was very impressed with the style of football they played. When I heard of the interest, I knew that would suit my game – it was very enjoyable to watch.”
“It was important for me to come here and get first-team-football, to play in a team that plays a good style but also works hard both in and out of possession.
“Playing first-team football brings an added competitive edge. I think it is more suited to my development. Every week there are three points on the line and you have to battle for the win, and I think that can only improve me as a player.”
Kennedy could be set to make his home debut against Ayr United today. The match is being broadcast live on AcciesTV. Tickets for the stream cost £10 and can be purchased here. Kick-off 3:00 PM
