The club are delighted to confirm the latest plans in our community initiative. This comes as we look to create the next generation of Accies fans in our local community.
With this in mind we will be donating 50 season books to 20 different selected schools in the local area.
This offer is eligible to pupils aged between 12 and 18 and we hope to see many new faces at New Douglas Park in the new year and beyond.
As the world starts to move on from the pandemic, we believe it is important that we remember the sacrifices our youth have made during those 18 months. They were challenged by unprecedented restrictions whilst trying hard to continue with their education.
As a community club we would like to take this opportunity to give back to the community for their fantastic support in recent years.
Pupils will be required to obtain consent from a parent or guardian for their name to be submitted by the school.
For the avoidance of doubt, they will not be required to be accompanied by a paying adult.
In the coming weeks the club will be sending application forms into every selected school for pupils to begin applying for these season books. Those nominated will be given their free season book covering every home league match between January 2022 and May 2023.
We will also be offering the opportunity for schools to apply for a further four tickets on a match-by-match basis. This will give teachers and school staff a well-earned day out.
It is our hope that this scheme will have a positive effect on the mental health of our young children. We hope this offer will show the ethos of our community club, working to the benefit of its people and shows that things aren’t always about money.
