We are delighted to announce that the club will begin piloting Fanbase technology beginning with our match with Ayr United on Saturday 18th September.
While the technology remains in the piloting stage this option will strictly be available for away fans only. Once the system is fully implemented, we will then offer this to home fans.
Fanbase allows fans the opportunity to purchase and store digital match tickets to their mobile phone or computer.
This pilot comes after consultation with the Accies Supporters Association and we are pleased to take this step to make tickets more accessible for our fans.
With Fanbase, away fans will now be able to buy and store tickets on their mobile phone and will be able to pilot the first phase of a Hamilton Accies mobile app using Fanbase infrastructure.
Chief Executive Colin McGowan said: “We are delighted to be working with the fantastic people over at Fanbase. The service they offer is one we have been looking to bring to the club for several months now.
“When fully implemented fans will have the opportunity to buy tickets at any time. This is something which can only benefit the supporters and the club.”
Fanbase co-founder Alasdair Crawley said: “Hamilton Accies have led the way in Scotland with their use of New Douglas Park as a multi-functional asset of the club. They’ve hosted everything from fireworks to boxing fights as well as football matches on a Saturday!
“Our job is to help Hamilton harness the power of this opportunity to engage their local community long term. It starts with this pilot.”
