Experienced defender Aaron Martin has revealed he is loving every minute of his time with Accies since his arrival last November.
The 31-year-old has been a mainstay in the side since then and has impressed many with his performances.
Speaking ahead of our match with St Mirren he said: “I am loving every minute since I have been up here playing-wise. Having Jamie and Easty next to me has been a big help.
“Jamie is super talented; I can see him having a very good career. As a player, he has a willingness to learn and to listen to me and Easty which is part of the reason we are able to work well together as a three.
“I think it has been a really good experience for me, as a player I like playing in the middle of a three to be a part of what we have here is good for me as well.”
The defender revealed his determination to make a difficult season worthwhile by securing Premiership status for the side next season.
He said: “I give it everything I have got. In training, I work as hard as I possibly can to try and make sure everyone else is at it as well.
“We know there is only a few games left to secure our survival but everyone is 100% committed to working on achieving this goal.”
Martin believes it is important that the experienced players in the squad step up and lead by example with their performances on the pitch in the games that remain.
He said: “We do have a young team but if the likes of myself and Easty can keep our levels of performance high then I think that will help everyone in the squad to reach their very best.”
