“If we continue the way we’ve been recently then there’s no reason why we can’t beat St Mirren.” – Marios Ogkmpoe

Marios Ogkmpoe says Hamilton’s last two results are history and only St Mirren matters right now.

The Greek forward got on the scoresheet in Saturday’s 4-1 Premiership win over Motherwell and puts that down to his newly formed partnership with Bruce Anderson and the attitude of the squad.

“I feel a good partnership starting with Bruce. We’re two different types of players and Bruce helps me with my game.

“He’s a very good player and we work well together.”

Since the arrival of the on-loan Aberdeen striker, Anderson has contributed to four goals in the last three fixtures for Hamilton and Marios feels the team moral is at it’s best.

“The whole team all feel very good right now, however, both Rangers and Motherwell games have passed and we need to play the same every game and try and keep this form going into tomorrow’s match.”

St Mirren Park is a venue Hamilton’s not taken three points from since December 2018 when a James Keatings’ superb long-range finish sealed a 3-1 win for Accies.

A victory tomorrow night would bring the club up to 10th place in the Scottish Premiership table and that’s exactly Ogkmpoe’s plan.

“If we continue the way we’ve been recently then there’s no reason why we can’t beat St Mirren.”
