It’s a well-known fact Hamilton Accies are a community-focused club and during these difficult times, we’re strongly encouraging our supporters and the local community to keep it local.
Our chief executive Colin McGowan today met with Malcolm Thomas Harley from Hamilton BID (Business Improvement District) to discuss the importance of shopping within our own community and investing in our town.
Speaking to the club’s website Colin McGowan said: ”In this current climate I think it makes sense to look after local businesses and help them as much as we possibly can.”
”We’ve all got a duty of looking after our community and by shopping in even just one local store you’re helping the town of Hamilton.”
Hamilton BID’s manager Malcolm Thomas Harley added: ”I think it’s a great thing that Hamilton Accies are getting behind the town centre. We’re all interlinked and it’s important for the good of our community if we all work together.”
”Christmas is a vital time for business and retail and without the support of the people of Hamilton, some of these businesses will struggle or potentially even worse. ”
”Now is the time to do your shopping in the town centre if you feel comfortable to do so or alternatively find that business online and you can still safely play your part.”
