Hamilton Academical Football Club is delighted to announce the contract extension of Ben Black who will stay at the club until the end of the 2026/27 season.
The 19-year-old striker came through the Accies Academy, representing the club in the UEFA Youth League where he scored 3 goals.
Ben returned to the club on a short team deal in February, where he made 8 appearances before suffering an injury set back.
On the contract extension, Ben Black said: “I’m really happy to extend my stay. I know the manager well from my time in the Academy so I know what he expects, and the way he wants his team to play.
“I had the injury a few weeks ago which is obviously frustrating, but I’m working hard on my recovery and looking forward to getting a clean run next season.”
On the signing, Darian MacKinnon said: “I’ve known Ben for a few years and worked with him in the Academy so I know what he’s all about.
“He came in short term and did really well, but obviously had the injury set back. He’s been working hard on his recovery and he’ll play his part next season.”
