At Hamilton Academical FC, we are committed to making football welcoming, inclusive, and accessible to all. In line with guidance from the Scottish FA and the Equality Act 2010, we ensure that supporters with disabilities receive appropriate support and ticketing access, including accessible seating and complimentary Personal Assistant (PA) tickets where required. To ensure we deliver this fairly and transparently, we ask supporters to provide proof of disability when requesting accessible seating or PA support.
Accepted Proof of Disability Documents
You only need to provide one of the following:
– A copy of your Disability Living Allowance (DLA) or Personal Independence Payment (PIP) award letter (any component)
– A Severe Disablement Allowance or Attendance Allowance document
– A Blind/Partially Sighted Registration Certificate (BD8 or CVI)
– A letter from your GP, consultant, community nurse or social worker confirming your long-term impairment and need for support
– A letter from social services confirming registration on any relevant disability or sensory impairment list
– An audiology report confirming significant hearing loss
– Other credible evidence which shows you live with a long-term impairment that substantially affects daily life
Please note: All documentation is treated with strict confidentiality and used solely for the purposes of supporting your matchday experience.
Accessible Ticketing Includes:
• Reserved seating in designated accessible areas
• Free or reduced-price Personal Assistant tickets
• Early access or alternative entrance points (on request)
• Additional support upon arrival, if pre-arranged
