Hamilton Academical Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of Stuart McKinstry on a deal that will see him stay at the club until the end of the 25/26 season.
The 22-year-old winger came through the Motherwell academy, before making the move to Leeds in the summer of 2019 where he played his trade in the U18’s, U21’s & Premier League 2 where he picked up 4 goals and 6 assists.
Stuart joined us on a short-team deal in October, making 9 appearances across the Scottish Championship and the Scottish Gas Scottish Cup where he scored his first goal vs Airdrie in the exciting 3-2 win here at New Douglas Park.
Speaking on signing permanently for the club, Stuart said: “I’m buzzing to get the deal over the line. It’s a great dressing room, I get on really well with the manager and the fans have been great with since I came in.”
“I’m just excited to keep working hard on and off the pitch and I’m looking forward to helping the team out for the rest of the season.”
On his new signing, John Rankin said: “I’m delighted to get Stuart in the squad permanently. He’s a talented player that works hard and that’s what we wanted to add to the side when he came in initially.”
“He’s integrated into the squad really well, get’s on great with the rest of the boys and I know he’s determined to keep working hard for the rest of the season.”
