Hamilton Academical Football Club are delighted to confirm that we have made further signings to join the Accies Academy.
As the club look to continue to develop & grow the players both on and off the pitch, it is vital that these young players see a clear pathway into the first team that has brought success to the club for many years.
Youngsters Kyle Wilson, Owen McAulay & Marcus Mcallister have all signed on to the Academy and have began working with the respective age groups & coaches.
Head Of Academy, Gordon Young said: “Since I joined the club, I have been looking at ways to improve the academy on the park but also build an infrastructure off it that will see the players develop their ability & understanding of the sport alongside essential lessons on nutrition, recovery, mental health & social media.”
“It is vital that the players, parents & families see development on & off the park and that is why I have recently introduced an Accies Academy App for mobile devices that allows direct communication between coaches & parents. This also allows parents to track their child’s progress, have reports on their training and deliver the necessary feedback required between the Academy and it’s players.”
We will also be delivering surveys directly to the parents that is designed to see where we are, where we can improve and how the alignment with LTPD is understood with our ultimate stakeholders, the academy players and parents.”
