Overview:
We are seeking a talented and dedicated individual to join our team as the First Team Performance & Recruitment Analyst at our prestigious Scottish Professional Football Club. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing performance insights to the coaching staff, and contributing to the development of our players and team, as well as having an active role in the identification of players throughout the recruitment process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analysing match footage to provide detailed insights on team performance, opponents’ performances & match strategies, and player statistics.
- Travelling home and away with the first team to film and code all first team matches
– Collaborating with the coaching staff to develop game plans, set pieces and strategies based on our gathered intelligence on all of our opponents and their players as well as full and thorough data analysis coverage.
– Providing performance reports to coaches and players to aid in individual and team improvement.
– Monitoring and analysing training sessions to evaluate player development.
– Utilising video analysis software and other tools to enhance performance analysis processes.
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in football analysis to ensure best practices are implemented.
- Overseeing the workflow and structure of the existing recruitment department and managing interns
- Creating high quality videos, reports and dossiers for the attention of the technical staff and directors throughout the recruitment process
⁃ Accepting Ad-Hoc requests from 1st Team Manager and/or Director of Football
⁃ Working as part of a growing, but well developed team of coaches, Sport Science & Medical operatives
- Working on your own initiative to develop Club databases (or implement new structures and plans) and maintain existing platforms which are familiar to the Club already
Qualifications and Skills:
– Bachelor’s degree in Sports Science, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related field. (Preferable but not essential)
– Previous experience as a performance analyst or similar role within a professional football environment.
– Proficiency in using performance analysis software and video editing tools (Sportscode, Studio, Coachpaint, Wyscout)
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
– Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex data to coaching staff and players.
- Passion for football and a deep understanding of the game.
- Coaching Badges or equivalent qualifications would be beneficial
