Queen of the South are the visitors to New Douglas Park this Saturday for our next match of the cinch Championship campaign. Kick-off 3:00PM.
SQUAD UPDATE
Head coach Stuart Taylor is confident that his side is getting back to full fitness as he gave an update on his injured players.
He said: “The squad is looking good – we’re confident and healthy. We’ve obviously still got Miko’s situation which we will find out soon as he will go and see a specialist, but Marley has been getting involved with training now.
“Joe has been doing a lot of work with Pottsy on the goalkeeping side of things, but he’s not been back training yet, so he is not available for the game. He has come on really well though, so looking beyond this week things are looking good.”
LAST TIME OUT
Last time out against Queen of the South travelled back to Lanarkshire with three points and a 3-0 win. Goals from David Moyo, Jamie Hamilton and a goal of the season contender from Josh Mullin sealed the victory on the road that day.
FORM
Accies come into this match on the back of a good run of form after going unbeaten in the last two outings. They will be looking to continue their goalscoring run after netting four on their travels to Firhill to face Partick Thistle last week.
Stuart Taylor will be hoping for more of the same on Saturday.
MANAGER’S NOTES
Taylor expects a difficult tie against Queen of the South on Saturday as he admits he’s been impressed with how manager Willie Gibson’s has transformed the side since taking over.
He insists his side are feeling confident going into the match though.
He said: “They’re under different management now, Willie has gone in and done really well and they’re playing good football. They’re a threat in games and we know it’ll be a tough test.”
“I think the performances we have been showing have merited goals, clean sheets and three points and I think the Thistle game was the perfect performance and perfect result.”
LIVE STREAM
The match will be broadcast live on AcciesTV. Tickets for the stream cost £10 and can be purchased here.
Nickolas McInally will be joined by Joe Hilton on commentary duties.
