Hamilton Academical Football Club can confirm the signing of 19-year-old right-back Zander Hutton on a season long loan from Scottish Premiership side Rangers Football Club.
The Scottish-defender who has came through the Rangers Academy and most recently, featuring for the first-team across pre-season. The full-back made his first senior start in Rangers 2-2 draw with Middlesbrough at Ibrox in pre-season.
On the signing, John Rankin said: “Zander is a talented young player so when the opportunity came up to bring him into the group it was a chance we wanted to take.
“He’s got a bright future and offers us another option in a position we’re short on. We need him to come raring to go and ready to make an impact which I’m sure he will.”
Speaking on joining the club, Zander Hutton said: “I spoke with the gaffer over the week and was excited by the ambitions he has for the season and how I fit into his plans.
“It was a great experience being part of the Rangers first-team in pre-season, I learned a lot in that period so I’m looking forward to playing and getting involved each week.”
