Hamilton Academical Football Club can confirm that after over 100 appearances, a cup winning goal and a promotion that Reghan Tumilty has left the club on the expiry of his contract.
Reghan Tumilty joined Accies following his departure from Hartlepool United in the January of the 2022/23 season.
In his 103 appearances for the club he enjoyed several huge moments, including scoring the only goal of the game in our 1-0 SPFL Trust Trophy Final victory over Raith Rovers. Helping us to lift our first domestic trophy in over 20 years. Reghan was also played an influential role in our promotion campaign last season, scoring 6 goals and making 44 appearances across all competitions.
A fan favourite on and off the pitch, we would like to thank Reghan for his tremendous efforts over the years and wish him all the best in the future.
With his contract coming to an end, Reghan informed the club that he wished to take on a new challenge and therefore would not be extending his stay.
Speaking on his departure, Reghan said “I’ve really enjoyed my time here at Accies and I’m proud to have played a part in a few important moments for the club. Lifting the Trust Trophy and winning promotion are two stand out moments in my career so far and hopefully the fans will remember them fondly going forward.
There’s been ups and downs but it’s been a great experience and I am proud to have played a part in some of the good times we’ve had. Thanks to the staff, players and the fans for their support and I wish them the best going forward.”
