The children’s charity Blameless have received a helping hand thanks to Asda shoppers.
The charity, based at Hamilton Accies Football Club, has been awarded £500 through the superstore’s online Green Token scheme.
The scheme sees customers pick which charity to support by voting online with the cause with the most online votes receiving a £500 donation, while second and third place each receive £200.
And the Lanarkshire public were keen to support Blameless, who run a weekly community Foodbank from the ZLX Stadium, voting them into the top spot.
Jim Cuthbertson, volunteer co-ordinator at Blameless, said: “We are absolutely delighted to win the £500 from Asda and we cannot thank those enough who took the time to vote for our charity.
“This money will go along way toward helping the children we support within our community.”
Blameless was formed to provide fun times, happy memories and a vision of hope for the future for children and families affected by alcoholism and addiction.
