We are delighted to confirm that Dean Lyness has signed a contract extension that will see him remain at the club for the 24/25 season.
The shot-stopper joined us in January of last season and went on to make 15 appearances keeping 6 clean sheets in the process. Most notably, he was between the sticks for our Play-Off run that saw us achieve promotion back to the Championship.
On top of joining us again as a player, Dean will also take up the role of First-Team Goalkeeping Coach where he will be working alongside Gordon Marshall.
On the resigning, John Rankin said: “I’m very happy Dean is staying with us, he’s a talented keeper that did very well for us last season. He’s another leader with a voice in the dressing room and his experience will be a very beneficial in his new role as well.”
