Hamilton Academical Football Club can confirm that it is currently subject to a Winding Up Petition lodged by HMRC in relation to a legacy debt arising under the club’s previous ownership.
The club has provided HMRC with proof of imminent incoming funds and offered a structured commitment of weekly repayments until finalised, but despite this HMRC elected to proceed with the petition at this stage.
The club has eight days to submit its Answers by which time the club fully expects the matter will be resolved and the petition subsequently withdrawn.
